WELCOME!
WE'RE GLAD YOU'RE HERE

We are a group of believers who simply try to follow the Bible as a guide for all we do. Everything done in our worship service is something for which we have a Bible basis. You are welcome to participate as much or as little as you wish. We will sing hymns together and we will observe the Lord's Supper or Communion together. We will also have an opportunity to give to the work of God in this area. This collection is for the members here, and if you are visiting you should not feel and pressure to give. Our lesson time will be divided into two groups. The young children will go to our classroom area in the basement where they will be taught the Bible at a level they can understand. The adults will stay in the auditorium for a lesson at an adult level. We do try to serve the community, and if you have some needs that we can help you with, mention it to one of the members. Thank you for worshipping with us.

FAMILY NEWS

TUESDAY EVENING — AREA-WIDE SENIOR PICNIC: This coming Tuesday is the area-wide Senior Picnic at the Clayton's. This is a get together for those who attend the monthly devotional at Clayton's, but everyone is welcome. We start at 5:30 PM with a dinner of barbecue pork and buns with ice tea and soft drinks provided. People are invited to bring a salad or a dessert. The food will be followed with a devo and a time of getting to know other Christians in the area. If you need directions, see John or Cynthia Clayton. If you have questions about what to bring, call Sybil Lynn at 574-272-2992.

THANKS: We have not been able to express our thanks in this bulletin to everyone who had a part in the fair exhibit. A lot of people spent a lot of time preparing the boards and getting them ready for display. We appreciate those who were greeters to the community. Every year we see some results from this effort, and it is the cheapest advertising we can do, so our thanks to everyone that had a hand in it.

COME TONIGHT AT 6:00 FOR RICHARD HOYT'S GREAT CLASS!

FROM JOHN AND CYNTHIA — GLAD TO BE HOME

It is a major understatement to say that Cynthia and I are glad to he home. We left knowing that we would have an exhausting trip, and praying that God would make good things come out of it. We appreciate those of you who prayed for our safety as we drove from here to Los Angeles and back — a total distance of 5798 miles.

The main purpose of our trip was to participate in the Tahoe Family Encampment in California. We had a booth in a 12-x-20-foot tent that was provided by the encampment, and I made seven presentations and participated in one formal question/answer session. These sessions were held in a huge tent that held 970 people, although it was not full. While we were at our booth tent, people came by to ask questions and get information. We had a constant stream of people, and by the end of the week we had gone through most of our materials and we were both dog tired. We had a great deal of interest, and there were several baptisms in Lake Tahoe. We got to hear some great sermons by some very talented preachers who were also on the program.

My daughter Wendy and her three boys joined us at the encampment. She had to return to Texas for a wedding, so we had the boys for three days as we went on to Yosemite National Park for some R & R. With three boys ranging from 8 to 14 there was not much R or R, but we enjoyed being with the boys. Returning, we visited Cynthia's son, father, sister, and brother. Cindy spent most of her time with problems that her 95-year-old father and her brother were having with the Veteran's Administration.

We had planned to spend an hour visiting York Christian College in York, Nebraska, to see the museum being built there in connection with our ministry. We ended up spending four hours with the president of the college, and I believe we have some exciting work that we will be doing with York Christian College in the future. We will tell you more about that later. Thanks to Karl's web site, we heard the sermons given here. We appreciate everyone's efforts at filling in.
