We are a group of believers who simply try to follow the Bible as a guide for all we do. Everything done in our worship service is something for which we have a Bible basis. You are welcome to participate as much or as little as you wish. We will sing hymns together and we will observe the Lord's Supper or Communion together. We will also have an opportunity to give to the work of God in this area. This collection is for the members here, and if you are visiting you should not feel any pressure to give. Our lesson time will be divided into two groups. The young children will go to our classroom area in the basement where they will be taught the Bible at a level they can understand. The adults will stay in the auditorium for a lesson at an adult level. We do try to serve the community, and if you have some needs that we can help you with, mention it to one of the members. Thank you for worshipping with us. FAMILY
NEWS
FAIR PROJECT: The consensus seems to be that the idea of allowing people to eat what John the Baptist ate at the Cass County Fair is a good idea, but there is an unwillingness to spend the amount of money that would be required to do it. We need a new suggestion from you about what we should do at the fair. We need an idea that will get people to visit and provide us with a way to serve our community. Jot down your ideas and put them in the suggestion box or see Bill Gibson or John Clayton. RECORDINGS. The new sound system we have would allow us to make recordings of sermons and lessons that could be played on our website or in other electronic forms. If you would be interested in this, please see Karl Marcussen. We do not want to purchase this equipment if it would not be used. When you cannot attend, this would allow you to hear sermons and lessons in class. We can help you with equipment problems, so you can be technologically challenged and still use it. TODAY'S LESSON

What enables you? PRAYER It is important that each of us develop a prayer life that is comfortable for us, and is carried out on a daily basis. The Bible gives us a lot of instruction about how God wants us to build our prayer life. Remember that prayer is not something God needs, but something we need. Learning to look to a higher power is something that promotes inner strength and spiritual resilience. Here are some of God's instructions: 1 Timothy 2:1--First of all, I ask you to pray for everyone. Ask God to help and bless them all, and tell God how thankful you are for each of them. Come tonight as we discuss this statement by James. |
