WELC6OME!
WE'RE GLAD YOU'RE HERE

We are a group of believers who simply try to follow the Bible as a guide for all we do. Everything done in our worship service is something for which we have a Bible basis. You are welcome to participate as much or as little as you wish. We will sing hymns together and we will observe the Lord's Supper or Communion together. We will also have an opportunity to give to the work of God in this area. This collection is for the members here, and if you are visiting you should not feel and pressure to give. Our lesson time will be divided into two groups. The young children will go to our classroom area in the basement where they will be taught the Bible at a level they can understand. The adults will stay in the auditorium for a lesson at an adult level. We do try to serve the community, and if you have some needs that we can help you with, mention it to one of the members. Thank you for worshipping with us.

FAMILY NEWS

UPDATES:

  • Harold Mathis came through his lung surgery and at last report is now doing better. The day after the surgery was rough. The doctors believe they got the cancer, but we certainly need to keep Harold in our prayers.
  • Karl's sister, Virginia Garver, is in rehab and hopes to be able to return to her apartment March 22. Julie is still in Florida assisting the family in addressing her needs.
  • Donna Pickens is much improved. Her headache and the leg pain are gone, so there is good news there.
  • Howard Marlin is doing OK, but his breathing is more difficult when there is high humidity, and that is why he has not been able to be with us recently.
  • Cynthia Clayton is recovering from foot surgery and has to be off her foot for 8 weeks. Keep her in your prayers for a complete healing.

THE BACK PAGE

A STORY

There were four people who were named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody.

There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.

Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.

Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job. Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.

It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

We need YOUR body at the next worship service at Timbers April 3. We had a wonderful turnout from the patients and nurses at Timbers, but only a few people from our congregation were there.

ARE YOU LOOKING IN THE RIGHT PLACES?

A young woman wanted to go ice fishing. She read books on how to do it, bought all the equipment and went out on the ice and started to cut a circular hole in the ice. Suddenly a voice boomed “There are no fish under the ice.” Startled, she moved farther down the ice and began to cut another hole. Again the voice bellowed “There are no fish under the ice.” She stopped and lifted her eyes to heaven and said “Is that you, Lord?” The voice replied, “No, this is the manager of the skating rink.” Message — are you looking in the right place for answers to your problems?

Be here for Bible study tonight and Wednesday night.
